National Animal in Sri Lanka

The national animal in Sri Lanka is Jaint Squirrel. It’s biologically known as Ratua indica”. This animal is dark brown in colour. The abdomen part is white. It has a long tail. It lives on trees near village. It has three white strips on its body. It feeds on fruits and grains. It likes to drink king coconut water. It can jump from branch to branch for that its long tail helps. It makes many nests on top of the tree branches with leaves, because the cubs change from nest to nest from time to time.
